FAQs

Q: How do I log in?

A: You can log in using your ELECTRIC POWER registration credentials:
Email = The email address you utilized for 2020 registration
Badge ID/Registration ID = The Confirmation number included in your event registration confirmation email

You will create a unique password during step 2.

Q: Having trouble logging in?

A: It can take up to 24 hours for your registration details to be available in the app.

If you’re still unable to log in after this period, please email support@grip.events.

Q: How do I access a virtual meeting room?

1. Log in on the web platform or mobile app
2. Once the meeting is accepted, the Virtual Meeting Room button will appear (if it’s pending or canceled, the Virtual Room won’t be available).
3. The Virtual Meeting Room button will be clickable 5 mins before the scheduled call.
4. Once you click on the Virtual Meeting Room button you’ll be directed to your virtual meeting room.
5. You can go in and out of the Virtual Meeting Room within your scheduled meeting time, however, once the meeting time has expired you won’t be able to access your Virtual Meeting Room.
6. You’ll be able to share your screen, however, you will be unable to record your meeting

Q: What is Matchmaking and what are the benefits?

A: ELECTRIC POWER is introducing an advanced AI-powered matchmaking platform via GRIP. The platform uses natural language processing, advanced algorithms and deep neural networks to constantly learn about your professional goals and interests. Grip takes the work out of networking through intelligent matchmaking – making it more fun and giving you a higher return on your time.

The matchmaking platform allows you to network with other attendees and exhibitors, arrange meetings, and identify potential business contacts.

Q: How do I find networking opportunities?

A: The platform uses natural language processing and advanced algorithms to recommend networking opportunities. Alternatively, you can search for attendees/exhibitors directly or use the filters to find the right profile you’re looking to meet.

Q: How do I request a meeting?

A: First, find the person you’d like to meet and click on their name to view their profile page, you’ll be able to mark them as ‘interested’ or send a meeting request directly.

Q: Where will my meetings take place?

A: A few options have been provided as locations for your meetings (virtual meeting room, networking arena, exhibitor’s booth) or you can specify somewhere else in the personal message area.

Q: Can I add meetings to my calendar?

A: When a meeting request is accepted it will send a calendar invite to your email address.

Q: What details of mine are displayed in the platform?

A: The platform will display your professional information including name, job title and company. Information such as telephone number, email address or mail address will not be displayed.

Q: Can I export my connections contact details?

A: No. Users contact details are not displayed or exportable in the platform.

Q: How do I remove my details from the platform?

A: Removing your details will mean that you are unable to log in or arrange networking opportunities through the platform.  However, if you would like to be removed please send your details to <email_address> using the subject line “Remove from matchmaking” and we will be happy to remove your details.
